Sewerage and Water Board to Host Community Engagement Kickoff Meetings – May 5 & 6

The Sewerage and Water Board of New Orleans (SWBNO) will host a series of community engagement kickoff meetings next week as part of its ongoing efforts to connect directly with residents and neighborhood leaders.

Two identical sessions will be held on:

  • Tuesday, May 5 at 6:00 p.m.

  • Wednesday, May 6 at 6:00 p.m.

Both meetings will take place at the Dryades YMCA (2220 Oretha Castle Haley Blvd).

These kickoff meetings are intended to launch a broader engagement effort by SWBNO, which will include individual district-level meetings scheduled for early summer. The goal is to provide residents with additional opportunities to share feedback, ask questions, and stay informed about infrastructure, drainage, and water system issues affecting their communities.

Neighborhood leaders and residents are encouraged to attend and help share this information with others. These sessions offer a valuable opportunity to engage directly with SWBNO representatives and participate in ongoing conversations about critical services in New Orleans.

We encourage Fontainebleau neighbors to attend if you are interested in learning more and getting involved.
