Support District A's Restaurants, Bars, and Music Venues During District A After Dark

This summer is a challenging time for many of New Orleans' restaurants, bars, and entertainment venues. To encourage residents to support these local businesses, the Mayor's Office of Nighttime Economy and District A Councilmember Aimee McCarron are partnering on a special community event: District A After Dark.

On Tuesday, August 18, Councilmember McCarron and local influencer Aubrey Avocado will spend the evening visiting three hospitality businesses throughout District A. One stop will be selected by Aubrey Avocado, one by Councilmember McCarron, and the final stop will be chosen by residents through an online vote.

This initiative is part of the Mayor's Office of Nighttime Economy's summer campaign to highlight the importance of supporting New Orleans' hospitality industry during its slowest season. By dining, shopping, and enjoying live entertainment close to home, residents can help strengthen the neighborhood businesses that make our community unique.

District A businesses are encouraged to participate by inviting customers to vote for them to host the evening's final stop. During the last visit, Councilmember McCarron will also answer questions submitted by residents through Aubrey Avocado's Instagram account.
