Neighborhood Notice: Tulane Stadium Sound Testing Aug. 24–26
Tulane University has notified nearby neighborhoods that it will be testing a new audio system at Yulman Stadium from Monday, Aug. 24 through Wednesday afternoon, Aug. 26.
Testing will take place between 10 a.m. and 3 p.m. and will include periodic sound checks of the stadium speaker system. Tulane says sound levels are not expected to exceed 90 decibels, roughly equivalent to a running lawnmower, and a technician will be on site monitoring levels.
Neighbors near the stadium may notice intermittent periods of elevated noise during the testing window, but Tulane expects them to be brief.
If the noise is louder or more disruptive than expected, residents can contact Leo Marsh, Tulane’s Director of Community Relations, at 504-586-0415 or neighborhood@tulane.edu.
